Can you be pregnant without a missed period and with a negative pregnancy test?

Not sure this is the right place to post, as I don't think I am pregnant. I haven't missed a period (came right on 30 days, 20 days ago), and I did a test 2 weeks ago which was negative. But my boobs say I am pregnant. I last had sex 5 weeks ago today (DH has been working away since). They've been painful and a bit swollen since my period came. Last time I was pregnant, it was my boobs that told me.
Is it possible I could be pregnant despite a negative pregnancy test (and let's not forget the period!).
Highly unlikely right?
Why else can your boobs be swollen and painful? The only time I have had this was when I was pregnant last time...
Sorry if this is the wrong forum but I wasn't sure where to put it!
I guess I could just wait until my next period or do another test. I am ridiculously broke at the moment though!

It could be a poor fitting bra. It could be hormonal - have you changed your birth control recently? It could be your cycle. It's unlikely you are pg if you've had a period and negative test.

Yes, I agree... it's weird! Defo not bra related and I don't use birth control. I know my breasts are bigger. Maybe hormonal? Or peri menopause?
