hi, this last week I caught a viral infection from my 2 year old, suffered temperature etc and have now for a week been coughing a lot, seems to be getting worse and it is such an irritating tickle in back of throat.... is coughing excessively dangerous for my baby - only 16 weeks and worried.

No, your baby will be very well cushioned in there, no need to worry about coughing. Could be a good time for you to start doing the pelvic floor exercises, mind!

no , it is not dangerous to the baby, you cannot hurt the baby by couging...he is nicely cushioned by your uterus , the membranes and the amniotic fluid

keep drinking lots of fluids, hot water, with lemon and honey is good for a cough, try sucking boiled sweets

pharmacist should be able to advise you of any suitable medicines you can take
