Sex in pregnancy

I'm 18+ weeks pregnant and my partner no longer wants to have sex because I'm pregnant.
Sorry if this is too much information for some - but wondered what other people thought/if anyone has any ideas of how I can show him that's it's fine to continue to do so.
Since finding out about the pregnancy we continued to have intercourse but only in the missionary position would he want to continue to do so and only if he could pull out at the end before climaxing..
I've tried telling him that it's fine to carry on having intercourse and that as I get bigger we will just have to try different positions but now he just doesn't want to come near me at all.. Any advice would be welcome.

I was having sex right up to 38+1 that's because I went into labour next day and had dd at 38+3
It's absolutely safe but maybe a professional oppinion would help him? How about take him to a midwife app with you so he can hear it from her?

The most annoying thing is im a nurse in early pregnancy unit yet he still questions everything is say is safe/ not safe to do in pregnant. I understand he is just over protective (in a good way) and excited as it is our first baby - but I hate being questioned on my personal and professional judgement.

Could you take him to a midwife appointment and let him hear a professional say that it's fine?
My DH shut up about it pretty quickly when he said he was worried about "poking the baby"....the midwife said "don't flatter yourself! Even the most well-endowed man will not poke the baby!"

And I'm the same as mrschatty my waters broke immediately after sex at 38 weeks!

I have my anomaly scan in a couple of weeks so maybe I'll bring it up then. Thanks for you input! It's just frustrating haha.

My hubby has asked me all sorts of stuff regarding sex in pregnancy etc lol but he has not said no sex just yet.. maybe wen I'm really showing he said cos he will get worried😂😂 nice try pal 😂😂

I'm hardly even showing yet - maybe the smallest bit. It's so annoying. There's no reason not to!

Do you think it's that he doesn't think it's safe or that he's just a bit icked out by the thought of it?

I'm 35 weeks and I am careful to avoid positions which involve him getting kicked by the baby as I have noticed it's a real turn-off for him - which I kind of understand..

My OH was ok until around 28 weeks now we're sex free lol

He just can't get his head around it, I was a bit grumpy to start but he has really tried to make me feel wanted still, and is very cuddly/loving, thankfully I've now reached 35 weeks and I couldn't be arsed anyway! Lol

I'm a curvy lass anyways so I got the pregnancy bloated thing going in at mo but I get very big bumps even wen I was a size 8!!lol with my last I was totally huge I looked like I was carrying 4! And I still did it all way thru till the night before I went in to be induced lol..it's probably like moving a wardrobe trying to manoeuvre me wen I'm full on bump 😂🙈 lol but jokes aside ..it must be quite frustrating for you huni, cos we are still human with needs no matter how pregnant we look\feel xx

My husband went through a phase of not wanting to have sex. He found it hard to adjust to my change in bump I think too. I tried to keep things going by doing things I know which turn him on such as long kisses, and other things orally. As it got a bit further on he realised that this wasn't feasible with a growing bump and just got on and had sex haha.

Show him the NHS page that says it's fine! That helped me with my DH who thought we weren't allowed lol. So silly.
