Spotting in 2nd trimester of pregnancy positive stories

Hi ladies
Looking for some positive stories please. I am 15 weeks pregnant and have had three episodes of spotting. 7 weeks, 13 weeks and 14 weeks. All on wiping after using the toilet in the morning and nothing more. All three have been less than a teaspoons worth of blood. Have had scans or heartbeat checked after everyone. Just feeling a bit low after the last one yesterday and worried something is going to go wrong even though I had a scan and baby is happy and no signs of why I'm spotting. I'm just worried I'm doing something wrong.

Please can you share your experiences and help reassure me. Thanks

I had spotting at 20 weeks, then the 20 week scan showed placenta previa, which was the probable cause.
I'm now 26 weeks and baby seems fine.
Is it after sex? Have you spoken to a midwife about it?

I've bled slightly all the way through, now at 23 weeks and all looks fine. My midwife said anything less than a period amount of blood is normal.

Yes I've spoken to midwife and gp. They seem to think it's fine but I can't help but panic! Just wish I knew what causes it.

And no not after sex. First two times were after bowel movement. Then yesterday morning was after wiping from a wee. Was darker/browner yesterday though, whereas the first two were red.

Try not to panic, the pressure of a bowel movement makes mine worse. You may have a small bleed somewhere inside.

Sorry for TMI - here is a pic of a little brown clot that came out. Obviously old blood as so dark. Anyone had similar?

I had spotting throughout the first trimester last time and again a couple of times later on. It's not uncommon to get brown blood and clots, especially first thing in the morning. It just means the blood has been sitting for a while. I had an internal around 11 weeks and they discovered a cervical ectropian which was believed to be the cause of my bleeding every time.

I had two fairly big bleeds at 20 and 21 weeks that required overnight hospital stays. 12 week old ds is currently sleeping peacefully beside me! I had a low lying placenta which was the suspected cause. I had brown spotting for a good week after each as the old blood finds its way out.

No further bleeds and baby born safe and well at 39+5.

I know how terrifying it is but it is much more common than people think and often resolves itself with no major issues. I hope it all stops for you, it's horrible whilst it's happening, I was a nervous wreck!
