Taken two ibuprofen in error!

Oh gosh- I'm in turmoil as I've just discovered that the paracetamol headache tablets I took earlier were actually ibuprofen.

I'm 9 weeks. Should I be panicking?

No-you'll be fine. The main risk with ibuprofen is after 30 weeks-before then there's no strong evidence that it causes harm. It's better to avoid it, but there are women with chronic pain who continue taking ibuprofen throughout their pregnancy (to week 30) under the supervision of their doctor.

If you're worried you can always call your midwife.

Your baby will be fine. As purple Daisy said. But try not to make a habit of it.

Thanks both. Complete accident. I don't usually ever take ibuprofen as I have asthma. I feel a bit more at ease now

Of course not. Just don't do it again!

Really don't panic!
