Gender predictions can anyone help?

Hello, I am brand new to mumsnet and I am DESPERATE to know the sex of my first baby!! Can anyone hazard a guess? I have no idea what I'm looking for :( the first scan is 8+6 and the second one is 12+1

I know there's things that you can look for in scan pictures but I don't know what they are I'm afraid.

But even if I did know, it wouldn't be foolproof. You might find out at a later scan, but even that isn't definite. The only accurate way is to find out what comes out when it's born.

It feels like a lifetime to wait until the 20 week scan. I don't particularly mind either way I just want to be able to choose names and buy clothes etc. I know there are some real experts out there who can tell by various methods and just wondered if any of the experts were on here!
