12 weeks, borderline pre eclampsia ?

hello all, just had a phone call from docs receptionist to inform me that I have a prescription awaiting collection for asprin, as my bloods I had taken at the 8 week booking appoint. have shown I have borderline pre eclampsia, i'm awaiting a phone call back from either midwife/doc to explain a little more, in the mean time anyone else had this ?? third baby 41 years old, hoping its just an age thing, many thanks

Pre-eclampsia is not diagnosed on a blood test (though blood tests are used to check for any complications and/or progression of the condition) so I think the receptionist might not have got the full story there. Wait until you hear from the GP/MW, hope it's nothing to worry about!

Pre eclampsia tends not to kick In Until around 20weeks due to the development of the placenta. You may be more at Risk of developing pre eclampsia due to your age .

Pre eclampsia is persistent high blood pressure, with protein in your urine and your liver and kidney function will be off

I wouldn't worry about this. Wait to see your midwife
