at this stage you won;t feel a whole lot of movement regularly..the baby might be kicking towards your back so , you won;t feel that. if you have not felt it for 2 days, and you are concerned, might be worth getting checked over, to put your mind at rest, try this first though, as this can often get babies moving.

an ice cold drink of water, then lie on your left side...that often gets baby kicking.....

obviously, if you are very worried, then call the midwife.

also , the position of the placenta can affect the amount of movement you feel

I have no idea, but tbh. I wasn't feeling reliable, regular movements until 20+ weeks. It is likely to be that the foetus is still so small and has plenty of room inside the uterus you just aren't feeling every movement as you would if he/she was 10 weeks older. It is more likely to be the position of the baby rather than anything more sinister.

This is the reason that midwives don't recommend monitoring movements as a relaible form of non-invasive check this early on in pg.

If you are really worried then just give your midwife a call and pop in for a check to put your mind at rest

nadine, I felt my baby move for the first time last week at 15 weeks (several times, so it wasn't wind!). Haven't felt it move since but I am not at all worried because it is so early yet.

Until you are about 20 weeks pg and feeling movements regularly then it is too early to worry yet.
