14 weeks - little bleed

Hi everyone,

I have just been for a number 2(slightly strained) and when wiping had a little bit of fresh red blood. Probably a teaspoons worth. Obviously slightly panicked! Very similar to a little bleed I had at 7 weeks. What should I do? No one is answering phones on a Sunday. No pain, had my 12 week scan this week and all was fine. Dated at 13 weeks 6 days today. Help!!

Have you had sex recently as that can cause spotting?

No sex this week no, just slightly strained when went for number 2 when it happened

I'm having bleeding too-had two scans and showing no blood in my womb. I know how scary it is. I had a massive bleed Thursday after straining and scan was absolutely fine! Off for another tomo where I will be pushing for answers as to why I keep bleeding, it's so stressful.

Has anyone else had this and it all turn out ok?

Yes me, they think the bloods from my cervix. Like I just said both scans fine! No blood in womb, sometimes there is no known cause for bleeding.

I had bleeding at 13-14 weeks. They scanned me and baby was fine, never did find out what the cause of the bleed was - everything looked normal - but it was light and lasted around 48 hours. Call the unit if you are unsure and they will probably scan you.

Rang EPU, midwives and gp and was just passed between them all as I am at a stage right in the middle as to who I see! Went to a midwife drop in today on advise from nurse at gps. Saw a lovely midwife and she found babies heartbeat straightaway so I'm feeling much better now! She said if no more blood not to worry and if anymore blood or any pain to request a scan.

Ah I'm glad you've been reassured. I had a similar sounding bleed at 17 weeks, no cause found for it. I'm now 28 weeks and no further bleeds.

I had little bleeds all the way through my pregnancy and the result is a 6ft 1 rugby playing ds always get it checked but no reason to immediately panic. Glad all is ok x
