hairy belly

I'm pregnant with number 3. I'm 19 weeks now and I've noticed my belly is very hairy. Now I'm quite hairy anyway but It's normally fairly light but it seems to be darker than normal. I already have 2 boys and I can't remember if this happened before. Dh isn't very helpful think he's trying to say it means its a boy. We have just had 2nd scan and didn't find out either way. Anyone know if this is normal and means anything?

It's normal, it's the hormones. Doesn't mean anything I'm afraid

Hi yes it's perfectly normal hun. I'm 13+5 and noticed in the shower the other day that I now have a dark fine hair trail down my stomach to my belly button. This is my 3rd pg and I had it all with the others too. I could be wrong but sure it's a hormone thing (you may find the hair on your head gets thicker and the hair on your legs grows quicker) just one of the perks

Yes totally normal.
I had a hairy tummy with both my pregnancies though and I have a boy and a girl so I don't think it gives you a clue.

Thanks for the replies. The hair growth on my legs slowed down for a while but think that is the same now.

Same here I'm 14 weeks and my tummy has suddenly became really hairy I had it with my first pregnancy too but can't remember if it was this bad lol my dh also mad a point of saying it after our 12 week scan

I'm glad I saw this - was about to post exactly the same thing! I've not noticed any extra anywhere else but my bump is really hairy. It's not a line, just randomly scattered around! Hoping it all falls out after the birth 😱

Just noticed this morning- not a lot but a definite hairy line down centre of bump. Also noticed how hairy my legs are but thats due to neglect..
