Hi everyone,

I have recently found out that I am pregnant (6 weeks) but today had the most slightest bit of bleeding! Literally tiny .. But it has worried me a bit and wanted some advice!

I have been taking the pregnacare tablets each day which I know loads of people have used and it has been brilliant.

Thanks! Smile

Hello, try not to stress! I had bleeding and went to the hospital and they told me not to worry it's quite normal. Bit gross but was it browny/pinky or bright red? As long as it isn't bright red (fresh blood) it's normally nothing to worry about. I still have little bits of brown blood now (7 weeks) and when I went for an early scan they said everything is fine so to not worry xxxx

It's pinky.. Not bright red! How did you get a early scan? At what point? That would be something I would be interested in! Xxx

I had this and had an early scan at the maternity assessment unit at the early pregnancy clinic. There should be a hospital in your area that does this...Have a Google. Everything was fine and DD3 is now 8 months. Hope all is same for you.

I had pinky coloured bleeding and because it's my first pregnancy I panicked, I went down to a and e and just told them how worried I was and they referred me to the early pregnancy unit. They are amazing and do an internal scan so it's hard to see much but I got to see the baby's tiny little heartbeat and it put my mind at rest. Either go to a and e and or try phoning Your local hospitals early pregnancy unit and asking for a scan but explain your worries to them xxxx

I am 7 weeks today and have had the same thing in and off for a couple of days I had a mmc last yr so am terrified calling gp first thing tomorrow, I would do the same if I were u so you can hopefully put your mind at rest and even if it is worse case scenario it's better u know than driving yourself mad worrying about iti hope it works out ok pls let me know how u get on xxx

Just to mention that you an have bright red bleeding and still things be ok (although obviously more worrying). I mention this because I had pink/ brown blood on and off through my first trimester but also episodes of sudden big gushes of red blood at 6 and 13 weeks. I really thought I had miscarried but am still pregnant, now 37 weeks.

Early pregnancy units (EPUs) are variable in how you get seen. I understand in some places you can self refer. Mine needs a doctor/ midwife referral and I was referred by my GP. I found details of my local EPU on the Internet.

Moonrise thanks for that hope u r now fast asleep, I think ours is GP referral so am going to sort in the morning think I have a temp too so might b an infection???? It sounds daft but I am thinking worse case so anything better is a bonus it wasn't planned and had just got my head round it, sorry to thread hijack op I am going to start my own xxxxxx

Hi everyone
My LMP waa 16th July. Got Pregnancy test +ve on 17th August. Had on and off bleeding in 4-5 weeks. Gyn prescribed Progesterone 200mg. Since 2 days, I'm bleeding with clots, mild pain and no pregnancy symptoms. Is this me going through miscarriage? I'm sacred. Been trying for 2 years, have pcos, d&c done 2months before.. my Doc asks me to wait for a week.

Barefootcontessa84 · 07/09/2016 10:26

I'm currently having bright red bleeds approximately every week, due to a subchorionic haematoma. As of scan yesterday, baby still fine at just over 11 weeks. Still not out of the woods, but these things can happen and be totally fine.

FlurkenSchnit · 07/09/2016 14:43

I had instances of bleeding in all 4 of my pregnancies, ranging from bright red to brown blood and from only when I wiped to little gushes. The worst was in my 2nd pregnancy when I bled on and off from 12 to 16 weeks but then it stopped and the rest of the pregnancy was fine. I was referred to the EPAU by my GP in the my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies and referred by my MW on my 4th although I understand in some areas you can self-refer.
I was never given any reasons for my bleeding, just told that some women just bleed throughout pregnancy - not helpful at all when I was worried sick! In all 4 pregnancies the bleeding stopped altogether by around 18 weeks and went to full term without any problems - just to reassure you that it can mean nothing.
