I am nearly 23 weeks and keep having little dizzy spells and I sometime see what looks like glitter floating around but there is nothing there. Am I going crazy??????

To add: I was already taking a multivitamin and occasional extra iron (vegetarian) and the amount of iron in over the counter stuff was way way lower than the prescription. It's better than nothing, but no substitute.

I have/had this. Talk to your midwife. They put me on Iran pills which has helped.

Migraine is also a possibility. I had a glittery silver river in one of my eyes. Never had a migraine outside of pregnancy.

Your body needs more B12 during pregnancy, both for you & healthy development of the baby. Iron is a possibility & low iron is linked to low B12, plus its all linked to folic acid/folate too

Your doctor is rubbish & really needs to do more & order blood tests!!

He's just a normal GP, the midwife is only in on Fridays

I know, but I'm pretty sure a midwife can't order blood tests - hope I am wrong though as they are at least more likely to understand these deficiencies & take it more seriously

Oh & I forgot to add, I agree with the silent migraine comment, but my own chronic migraine, that started during pregnancy has improved a lot since I finally got the correct, Pernicious Aneamia(B12 deficiency) diagnosis & treatment. It can be a symptom of deficiency

I had this later in my pregnancy and was told it was a visual migraine.

Isn't the EPU best place to go to for this kind of thing? Have you called your midwife? It sounds like anaemia to me too as I had it in both pregnancies and was tested at the EPU with results within an hour.

I had spatone in PG 2 and in preparation for it because my body doesn't like to produce a huge amount of iron which helped (as pp have stated). The iron tablets aren't so nice and can cause constipation and weird black poo!!!

I get this, I have low BP (when pregnant and when not!). Currently 35 weeks and still getting it. Last BP measurement was 100/60 i think, so considered normal.
