My husband and I would like to take one last holiday as the three of us before our new baby is born at the end of July. We'd probably go sometimes in March when I'd be between 19-23 wks pg. Has anybody in a similar situation been on any nice overseas holidays? All ideas are welcome.

singapore was fab - dd1 was almost 2 and I was 18 weeks pregnant with no2. Lovely place, lots to see, great hotel with pool for lazing about.

We had a week there enroute emigrating to Aus.

Second SittingBull - the US is incredibly child friendly and with the current exchange rate would make a good value holiday. I'm in Colorado and that's a 9 1/2 hour direct flight though. Florida's got good weather in March though.

Excellent tips ladies - please keep them coming. Did anybody go to the Carribbean when pg? I've read a thread here about Tobago being a good holiday destination.

Cant beat staying on a campsite in Brittany with kids. The caravans/chalets are lovely..all mod cons. Camp sites are safe and clean..March may be a bit chilly though!

mmelody - I've read so much about the eurocamp sites too...never been on a caravan holiday but will definitely give it a go when the little one is here...but as you said, probably not in March .

We went on a Mark Warner holiday last September when I was 5 months pregnant and we had an 18 month old. They were fantastic. There is 9-5 childcare for your toddler if you want it, and they are totally geared up for babies and small children, with a free baby listening service in the evening and lots of children's facilites.

In March, the European resorts wouldn't be open yet, but they also have resorts further afield for winter sun holidays which might be worth considering.

murcimari.. We have been to Brittany every year for 5 years. We go with friends and a whole tribe of kids ageing between 6 months and 16.We have the BEST time. Its just so great for the kids with loads of activities for the older ones and a pool and lots of space for the younger ones. Even just hanging round the caravan is fun as there are always lots of other kids to play with. Us parents get the opportunity to chill and chat and relax!

We went to Florida when dd 2 and 1/2 and i was 20weeks pg - flight was ok cos we were lucky to get night flights so dd slept most of the way and it was easy for me to get up and walk about. The weather was lovely - not too hot and cos we were there in jan relatively quiet and as said before the us is very child friendly!!
