First scan during doctors strike - assume cancellation?

I will call midwives of course, but can't imagine the scan will go ahead with all the doctors on strike. Hmmm. Anyone else in this situation? Totally support the junior doctors by the way so don't blame then.

It's not usually a doctor scanning so I would expect it to be going ahead

Scans are done by songrapher, some times a specialist midwife will be there. There will certainly be midwives around.

I would assume it goes ahead.

I'd assume it won't be cancelled. Antenatal scans are usually performed by sonographer/midwives.

It will almost certainly go ahead as others have said, scans are normally only done by a specialist dr when there is a problem. Hope it goes well!

Oh ok fab, that's very reassuring. Thanks everybody.

Agree all my routine scans have been with a sonographer. If you are low risk you're not likely to see a doctor I don't think!
