Hello Mum's out there who wanted to share their experience on clexane. I started using clexane when I was about 5 weeks pregnant. My doctor recommended it after having 3 miscarriages. I was on both aspirin 75mg and clexane once daily 20mg. In addition to Cyclogest pessaries 400mg once every night, with folic tablets. When I changed doctors at 16 weeks, the new Dr told me to stop using clexane. I worried. I still had a week's dose, I still went ahead and finished the dose. I stopped using clexane at around 17 weeks however I continued using aspirin this time 100mg until 37 weeks. I was due to have elective caesarean at 39 weeks. Unfortunately I lost the baby while in hospital purely due to negligence. Apparently I got a placenta abruption. I wasn't being monitored and the baby's heart beat was dropping. All this happened while I am in hospital in Paris last year in October. We lost our beautiful baby girl Natalie at 39 weeks. It was a very bad experience after holding that baby to full term. My only advice to mothers out there if you have complications, why go to 39 weeks. I blamed my Dr for having stretched me considering the fact that we had agreed I would NOT have a normal delivery. I have a little princess who was born premature at 35 weeks. Weighing 1.7kgs with that history, I never wanted to go to 39 weeks. That's my story. I've just found out I am pregnant and I am still nervous. My Dr has recommended I use aspirin 75mg and he has not recommended clexane. I am confused whether I should use it anyway since it worked for me for the previous pregnancy. Can anyone advise? This is a new Dr I am trying him out after having very good success history on sensitive pregnancies. I need more advise.
