In the process of ordering baby furniture from m&p..the range that I like comes with a free basic m&p mattress..was just wondering how good/suitable this is likely to be.. there is an option to up grade.. any thoughts or opinions from those more experienced than me would be great.

My DD had the basic foam one. She didn't move up to a bed until 2.9 and found that after that time the foam one had little gullys where she liked to lay. So for my DS we got a sprung one (figured it may be more comfortable). Have found it good. If it has a removable cover that is good for accidents/sick and washing.

I would say buy the most expensive mattress you can afford. Your baby is going to be sleeping in the cot for up to 3 years and they need good support.

yep ungrade and you def want some sort of removable washable cover on, especially if you hope to have more little ones.
