Im 9 weeks post and had a little accident last night in regards to contraception (the damn thing split). The EPT advise to wait 3 months before ttc again so im 3 weeks of the 3 month wait. As it is a possability that i could be pregnant, i just wanted to find out if anyone else conceived before the 3 months and what was the outcome.

I think we were advised to weight two full cycles. My ectopic was in December and to be honest jan was completely out (I had surgery and a tube removed so was quite sore still). Feb I we were careful and then March too. But I have to say I think we were careful in March because I just wasn?t ready. I was both terrified to try because I might get pregnant (because of it possibly being another ectopic, loosing the last tube, painful surgery etc) and terrified to try in case I couldn?t get pregnant! It?s such a horrible time isn?t it?
Please be reassured that you are probably fine and they will monitor you really well the moment you go past when you are due your period. I am now 8 months pregnant (so did manage to loose the fear in the end!) and had bloods done from 3 days after my missed period (it should double if normal) and then 2 early scans to confirm everything was normal. I was still really worried early on (I had bad cramps and convinced my self it was ectopic pain- but it was just the baby borrowing into my uterus!). I am sure you will be just fine, please try not to worry.

My cycles were very irregular after my ectopic, but I had the full open stomach surgery so had to wait 6 mths - and I lost a tube.
That was nov 04, I conceived April 05 and miscarried, and again in the October
so went off the whole idea until mid last year and bingo!

Thanks for replying hettie and piffle and i am sorry to hear of both your losses. Congratulations on both pregnancies too

I too lost my right tube and had surgery. Physically if i am pregnant i do feel well enough. I still get the odd pain and twinge but nothing major. Emotionally im 90% ready. As there is a slight posability i was just wondering if anyone has got pregnant before the 3 months and if it was a good outcome. If i am, theres a 85% chance that this time it will be in the right place.
