Stretch mark stuff?

Ok, I know nearly nothing can prevent them but I sort of feel like I have to try! Does anyone have any recommendations? I tried the Mama Mio tummy rub butter and it's lovely but really expensive. Also, I need to get something to stop my boobs becoming hideous and the Mama Mio boob tube stuff smells HORRIBLE. I tried the Palmers Cocoa Butter one but again I couldn't cope with the sickly smell. Is there anything out there that I can try that doesn't smell like it makes me want to vomit, but that I won't have to remortgage to buy? Thanks!

Another shout out for bio oil here! It's expensive but I've used it religiously twice a day since about 12 weeks (now 31) and I've had no itchiness and no stretch marks.... YET! Well aware it could all go belly up (pardon the pun) but I really think the bio oil is worth a try. And it smells so nice! Absorbs quickly so when you put those over bump jeans on it doesn't rub off! X

I liked bio oil. I had no stretchmarks at all until dd went over at 41 weeks. I only have 3 though and they are little and very low down.

Ooh I hadn't thought of bio oil! Thank you! Will get some today....

When do stretch marks typically kick in? I'm 32 weeks and although I am a fervently obsrrvant moisturiser, I've only used my usual whatever-was-on-offer cheap stuff. No sign of any yet, but not sure when you can expect them!

I.e. after every bath/shower.

I love Sanctury spray oil (normal orange range) no stretch marks from first pregnancy so using again x

I started off using bio oil but then moved to sweet almond oil. I used to put it in my bath every night which was lovely (just don't slip when you get out!). No stretch marks at all, despite having lots on my hips from puberty. I did get some on my boobs when my milk came in though... not sure I could have done much to avoid that though - I went up about three cup sizes overnight!

Absolutely nothing will prevent stretch marks.

But bio oil or a moisturiser WILL help with itching as skin stretches in late pregnancy. I had no stretch marks first time round and loads second time which didn't become visible till after birth. I think there's supposed to be a genetic element to it. Plus also if you have twins, big baby etc.
