I'm just curious. The only thing I can't think of without wanting to hurl is southern fried chicken wraps! It was one of those meals we cooked quite a lot around the time I found out I was pregnant, and for some reason the thought of it now is bleurgh.

I also, bizarrely, can't think about playing PokemonGo without feeling ill. I think it's a motion sickness thing, but again it was something I played a lot a few weeks ago. Very strange!

First time round - prawns all the way through and until about six weeks afterward... must have been a hormonal thing. And beef in the early stages (until about 15 weeks).

Second time I was much sicker generally. In the early stages bread, any lettuce that was just a little bit wilted (I am talking one leaf not entirely fresh any more), cream cheese, yogurt. Now I can eat everything again. Prawns were never a problem this time round...

TinyTickler · 04/08/2016 23:41

Chicken for me too! One of the worst meals of my life was at 6 weeks pregnant, trying to force down a bowl of chicken ramen noodles with all of my work colleagues (who clearly didn't know I was pregnant) watching. Just awful.

DramaAlpaca · 04/08/2016 23:52

I didn't have any food aversions with DC1 & DC2, but with DC3 I went off tea immediately. It was one of the first signs I was pregnant.

Rarotonga · 05/08/2016 00:03

Currently pregnant with DC1 and I have really gone off cake. Every time I think about it I feel really queasy. Sob, I love cake and hope it isn't going to stick around forever Brew Cake

bibbitybobbityyhat · 05/08/2016 00:03

Pg 1, I went off all food except bagels, cheddar, apples and water. Pg 2, pretty similar. I never really wanted to eat anything or enjoyed eating anything. Lost quite a bit of weight in the process!

ohanami · 05/08/2016 05:10

Food, full stop. I love food normally, now it's 100% for fuel. It's like feeding a picky toddler, but if I don't eat I feel sick, so toast and cornflakes feature heavily on the menu. Only a month to go though and I'm looking forward to a non-toast-based diet again!

BikeRunSki · 05/08/2016 05:37

Had hyperemisis in both pg, so aversion to all food until around wk 17. Then I could not eat anything sweet. To keep food down it had to be very savoury - strong cheese, marmite, tuna.

abbinobb · 05/08/2016 05:45

All I can eat is crisp sandwiches, dry ones with no butter. And twister ice lollies but only with the green on the outside and you can only buy multi packs with the dreaded red outside. Sad my freezer is red twister prison atm.
Meat of any kind is a big no, anything greasy, anything that tastes like anything and weirdly even though I haven't even had pesto in the house since getting pregnant I have this weird fear of pesto and it pops up into my mind when I'm being sick. It's. On my mind all the time in a sort of "oh my god, remember the smell of pesto that you used to love isn't it awful and the worst smell in the world"

abbinobb · 05/08/2016 05:48

Is this thread making anyone else dry heave/feel sick? Blush

I work in a bloody food shop too so have to spend all day with food that makes.me want to throw up everywhere it's a nightmare. If some one accidentally smashes a jar or pesto I might cry.

JolieColombe · 05/08/2016 05:52

Chocolate with DD1 (didn't figure that one out until I puked it back up Envy). DD2 - all sweet things. Chocolate, biscuits, cakes, pastries, ice cream, you name it. Thankfully both times it stopped at around 4-5 months. Oh, and coffee both times Sad

bumbleclat · 05/08/2016 06:36

abbinobb omg my freezer is red twister prison too I could only eat the green ones- how strange! Confused

RhubarbAndMustard · 05/08/2016 06:42

Tea, coffee, all meat, anything with a smell- bolognaise which I love was totally off, curry, fajitas, etc. All I wanted to eat was cake!

EreniTheFrog · 05/08/2016 10:41

With DD - tea, coffee, anything sweet
With DD - tea, coffee, all veg, most forms of dairy
With DC3 - so far, just brocolli, though everything else tastes a bit odd and unappealing too. It feels so liberating to be pregnant and still able to enjoy my early morning cuppa!

iPatches · 05/08/2016 13:46

Broccoli - previously a staple!
Meat - especially chicken - except salami which of course is banned...We went vegetarian for a few months!

njones051 · 05/08/2016 17:43

Burgers! I feel sick just thinking about them.

sj257 · 05/08/2016 19:05

I've gone off chocolate 😨 and I really fancied some halloumi a few weeks ago and it made me feel ill so off that now too, hope it doesn't last, I love it usually.

I've been craving savoury and spicy food. Chicken and mushroom pot noodles, yum, anything spicy as well really!

m33r · 05/08/2016 20:11

Off Chicken with my first and I loved broccoli. Repeatedly told my husband I was chicken phobic - really had to work to want it again after had my DS.

This time am 6+5 and I have gone off nothing at all ... In fact this thread is just making me want to eat EVERYTHING! Blush

onthemetro · 05/08/2016 20:21

Tea and coffee here too, even the smell of tea makes me gag. I used to drink so much tea but now I can't even really remember what it tastes like Grin

Birdlet · 05/08/2016 21:43

Tea
Any cordials apart from peach
Any fizzy drinks apart from full fat coke
Vegetables. All of them.
Macaroni cheese
Actually anything with a cheese sauce apart from lasagne
Chicken - only when I have to cook it myself though! I just can't look at it raw without wanting to puke ConfusedBlushSad

We are eating a lot of sandwiches at the moment!Blush

Titchypanda · 06/08/2016 09:45

Bacon is my nemesis. First trimester was a nightmare as I have to cook it at work. I can't bear the smell and the thought of eating it makes me retch. The smell of meat cooking is horrible for me.

Becciilouisex3 · 06/08/2016 15:42

I can't bear eggs, unless they're scrambled weirdly enough! My first pregnancy sign was not being able to stand the smell of fried eggs and I used to love my bacon and egg sandwiches!

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 06/08/2016 16:46

Chocolate. From the start til about week 14, I really couldn't be arsed with it, which, since I'm generally a chocolate fiend was a bit of a Big Deal for me.

But at week 14, back came the usual desire for it!

I didn't have any morning sickness or nausea either, really - just this weird aversion to chocolate!

raviolidreaming · 06/08/2016 18:41

I'm no longer fussed about tea.
Just the thought of eating fish or avocado makes me want to vomit.

pinkieandperkie · 06/08/2016 18:46

Coffee, eggs and asparagus.

bigfriendlygiant · 06/08/2016 18:47

I gipped at the thought of chicken during my first pregnancy (seems to be quite common).
