Hi all my 12 w scan is Monday. Nervous af tbh as I am expecting them to say oh its all a joke nothing there. Totally stressing.
I only noticed in the scan letter when I was checking to see if I was to drink or anything before it (nothing in letter to say that) there was another letter behind it saying I have an app 2 weeks or so later with an consultant same hospital. What will that be for? Any clues? Is this normal? I must say this is 2nd preg but my son is 16.5 lol so it's like starting again for me. I wasn't this paranoid first time around!

Didn't the midwife mention anything at the booking in appointment?

I got put down for consultant led care by my midwife at the booking in appointment, but there's reasons that make me higher risk - previous premature birth, previous induction before due date, age, BMI - it wasn't just some random thing.

And NHS resources don't allow for women who are believed to be having low risk pregnancies to get automatic consultant appointments.

Ah thanks. Well I'm 39 will be 40 at birth. I am bit over weight. She never actually said anything about a consultant app but I could ring her she pretty approachable. Thanks for reply.
