Hi, first time post be gentle!
I'm 6weeks pregnant with dc3.
My dc are 10 and 8 so a bit of a shock surprise. Anyhow I called the docs yesterday to make an appointment to confirm my pregnancy but can't get an appointment for 3 1/2 weeks. This will make me around 10 weeks.
It's been a while since I've done anything remotely babyish but should I not book in with the local midwife around 8weeks? (I'm in Scotland)
Been a while this is all rusty!

Yep, you should make a midwife appreciate for 'booking in'. There's no need for a separate docs appt. They pretty much just take your word for it that you're pregnant!
Congratulations.

Appt not appreciate obviously!

You can self refer to midwifes. Google for the local number.

Yep no need to see GP just look up maternity services for your hospital and you can self refer to get your first appointment

Thank you all.
Called reception and she helped enormously. All sorted.
