Pains in back and down front of legs - feels like period pains - 37 + 2

I feel like I do the day before my period is due - weird how you don't forget that feeling! It's not painful as such more of a dull ache. I am uncomfortable but there's no tightening at the front or anything.

It's my first, I don't know what to expect! Not got the dithery feeling I normally get but can't ignore this.

Have you spoken to a MW about it?
I'd call her and ask for some advice.

I was thinking about it. Pain is in upper thighs as and it's not hurting me too much. I'll see what progresses in the next hour till my OH gets home. Hospital bag is packed anyway!

I had a really upset tummy this morning as well which I haven't had throughout pregnancy! Just read that can be some sort of sign as well. I'm not hurting but there seems to be some pressure.

I'm 38 weeks and have had these feeling for a good week and a half, especially after a good walk! Probably body just preparing for labour. As long as baby is moving as normal then I don't think it's anything to worry about but check with your midwife if at all concerned.

I had this along with the dodgy tummy around the same time and it was the baby dropping lower into my pelvis. Good news was the baby was fully engaged afterwards but doesn't mean it's coming soon, now 39+5!

Blah! I'm determined it'll be early lol. At the midwife tomorrow so will see if baby has moved further. Was 3/5 two weeks ago and measuring big but hospital weren't worried.

Time to get here!! I'm sick of the weight now!

Im sorry to tell you I was in exactly the same position as you at 36 weeks. Pains like you describe on and off and building up to a good strength! Im 39 +5 and still no actual baby.
