We were really set on Ethan Samuel (and dh still is),but I'm also liking Elijah Samuel and think I prefer it.
We already have one Ds who is Oscar James.

Please help me decide-which do you prefer?

Ethan.

How about Evan?

NAB3 · 27/01/2007 16:30

Samuel Ethan

belgo · 27/01/2007 16:30

Elliot Samuel

aprilmeadow · 27/01/2007 16:41

Ethan. I know a lovely little boy with that name, so that would sway it for me.

Tortington · 27/01/2007 16:51

elijah, t'will be shortened to Eli no doubt.

still the rest are very common these days ( esp Oscar amongst bugabooers)

Tortington · 27/01/2007 16:52

meaning i like Eli or elijah

Bubbaloo · 27/01/2007 16:57

I don't have a Bugaboo.

ahh yes there is that frodo hobbit reference

how about ezeikel?

i love that name - its what my non existant next child will be called

Uki · 28/01/2007 08:49

Hi Bubbaloo

I guess you could always decide what name he most suits when he arrives.

I think Elijah is more unusual, but Ethan is cool too.

wilkie50 · 28/01/2007 10:59

Ethan - we nearly called DS it, lovely name.

Elijah - unusual and I do like it but think he might spend his life telling people how to pronounce/spell it??

Abwab · 28/01/2007 15:08

Defo go with Elijah. That was going to be our son's name for years but at the very last minute we changed it to Noah (it just suited him more) which i do absolutly love but I still love the name Elijah.

X

Why something so Old Testament?

Bubbaloo · 30/01/2007 11:33

Why not,if you like the name?
Some people like modern names, some people like traditional and some people like biblical names.
I didn't have my mind set on a biblical name, but I happen to like it.

Fair enough!

MrsMcJnr · 30/01/2007 14:15

Custardo ? I like Zeke but DH says no way to Ezeikil ? he says it?s too bible belt US for him

DH likes Caleb, Issac and Xavier. I like Xavier and Issac best out of those. He doesn?t like any girl?s names. I like Mia but DH thinks it?s a dog?s name.

MrsSpoon · 30/01/2007 14:18

I really like both Elijah and Ethan, however I think Ethan goes better with Oscar but that's not really that important.

Bubbaloo · 30/01/2007 15:51

I think I may be swaying back towards Ethan now.I still love Elijah, but am now thinking it may be too much of a mouthfull and I don't really like Eli too much, which it'll probably be shortened too.Decisions,decisions.

noooooo, go for Elijah, it's much more distinguished! Round 'ere Ethan is ALWAYS pronounced EEEEEEFFFFFAN GEDDDERE YOU LITTLE SWINE

maybe that's made me think of the name a leetle differently

I think Elijah and Oscar go nicely together too......

Pinotmum · 30/01/2007 16:55

I like Elijah and Isaac. I only know one Ethan and no Elijahs and I also live in Chadwell Heath. Congrats on you pregnancy btw!

sunnysideup · 30/01/2007 17:05

oh, good idea - I like Isaac, it's a bit simpler but still has that traditional, biblical ring.....we have an isaac in DS' class and he's gorgeous, a real poppet.......
