Hi. Silly question but have a pretty monosyllabic midwife....
I'm 33 weeks and baby is 2/5 engaged.....does that mean that I'm less likely to go to full term or is it a just "no idea"?!
Thanks in advance X

I think it's just a thing that happens and has no relation to when to expect the baby. That's what I was told in my last pregnancy...

Doesn't really guarantee you'll go into labour anytime soon but it's a good sign that everything's going in the right direction! I was 4/5 at 38 weeks with DS and still took another 2 weeks for him to come!

At this stage as well I believe they can still sometimes come back out of being engaged. And mine was 2/5 engaged from about 36 weeks to 41 when they discovered she was actually unexpectedly breech so it was her bottom that had been engaged... So from my experience it doesn't necessarily relate to an early delivery.

I was pretty much fully engaged at 32 weeks and went overdue by five days, shows the baby is getting ready though :)

I'm engaged at 35 weeks with my second my midwife said to prepare for an early baby but don't bank on it, I went a week over with my first and he was engaged from about 37/8 weeks.
