My job is a standing duty is it ok I am 14 weeks pregnant

Hi all
I am now 14+2 weeks today, got the scan done at 13+2 and all was fine for that stage. My issue is I do work part time but it's standing job. I am very exhausted these days. As well I am a plus sized woman. Any one else who does standing job. If do dose need to take any extra care for this . I don't want risk by any chance reading this. Please advice

I think it's fine, my hairdresser worked until she was 38 weeks. However if you need them your work should provide you extra breaks to sit down.

My job is standing, im 28 weeks and pretty much have free reign over breaks. It wont be harmful just be careful not to over do it

I'm a zoo keeper, which is a very physical job and I worked to 30 weeks with my DD (I had to go off early due to spd). The doctor told me at the time that its fine to carry on with what your body is used to (I was lifting 25kg bags of cement at 20 weeks pregnant) but not to do anything extra. This pregnancy (11 weeks) I still haven't told anyone except my supervisor and close work friend and I'm still working fine just taking extra breaks if I need them, I'm sure everyone else at work probably thinks in lazy haha! Standing and walking won't hurt your baby but as you get more pregnant you might need to ask for a chair as you need to look after yourself! Keep active though! I walked the dog right up to the last day of my last pregnancy and dd came 4 hours off her due date!! Xxx

I would say it depends on how you feel: you're only going to get heavier. I was more happy sitting down, and absolutely had to sit down after a while. Could your workplace easily accommodate a stool or chair? Have you had your workplace assessment thingy?

Hi have been off work from 10 weeks , just started to going back to woRj for I'm Monday , if I ask they can play I use me with a stool /chair, but I have to change my working department which I don't want want to. I am sitting for 10 mins every hour for now. But I feel like everyone looking at me as if I am lazy. As for now I am the only one pregnant at my work place. I wish I have some bump buddy. Haven't got my assessment done yet.
