How to I put a link to an existing thread within a new post?

I want to know how to put a link to another thread in a post. Please could someone advise.

Go to the thread you want to link to. Copy the web address from the top of your screen. THen start your new thread, and do a link (see instructions in the box) pasting in the address.
I'll do it for you if you like.

Go to the thread you want to link to, select the url - highlight it and press control and c to copy it - then go to your new thread, press control and v to paste it into your message. Put the necessary \link and brackety bits round it as per instructions right. Press preview post to check it works!
