I had a 16 wk a.natal check today and told the m/w I had been having q. a lot of abdominal discomfort - accross my bumnd low down. She said that I might have an irritable uterus, that it was not unusual in 4th pregnancies and that I should keep a close eye on the pains. The baby's heart beat was fine. Just wondered what this could be. Don;'t know about my uterus, but with my lack of sleep I'm def. irritable.

I was more aware of assorted niggling pains with my 4th baby - I found it was worse if I was dehydrated so drink tons of water.

I had this when pregnant with dd2, It caused me to have contractions later in pregnancy, I couldn;t walk up the stairs without my womb starting to contract. I was admitted a lot after my womb started to contract.

Thankyou. I am finding the pains slightly unnerving. I shall take the advice and up my water intake!
