Hi!

Can anyone recommend a multi-vitamin supplement to take while I'm pregnant? I want to carry on taking something this time.

Thanks!

My doctor recomended ASDA's own Pregancy vitimins. I have looked at others but ASDA's are significantly cheaper and have everything in them. So once again the docs right

I took Boots "Mum to be". They have ginger extract in which is supposed to help with sickness. I am a total wuss about swallowing huge pills and these were not too big. Boots is doing 3 for 2 on vitamins at the moment, so whatever you pick, it's is a good place to buy.

oops

this has reminded me i've taken nowt sinc stopping the folic acid at 12 weeks

do you need to take anything after 12 weeks?

Loulee · 24/01/2007 13:28

I'm taking pregnacare. Superdrug had 'pregnacare' on a 3 for 2 offer recently too. Don't know if it'll make it as good value as the asda own brand though...

no, don't think you have to take anything - I didn't in my last 2 pregnancies, but was just feeling so tired in this one, I thought it'd give me a boost. - am still bfeeding dd2 which def takes it out of you.

I take Asda's too that are only about £3 doe 30. Bargain!

Also, I have read Patrick Holford's book on nutrition in pregnancy and he says supplements are really important throughout the pregnancy, plus lots of nuts and seeds for Omega 3 and 6

Thanks, everyone! Last time I stopped taking any vits but this time think I should carry on (esp as I am much older this time!). Will check out the Asda bargain!
