5W BUT SPOTTING AND BACKACHE

help, im 5w and started spotting this morning, have had backache too. spotting seems to have stopped got another bfp this morning but a fainter 1 at the docs. am i miscarrying again?

I had this last week and all is well now!

Call gp and ask for an early scan. Mine showed sac and yolk and measurements consistant with dates but because it's so early i've got to go back next week for another scan to double check all is well. I had bleeding/spotting on and off for 1 week.

im due to see a mc specialist on the 1st so will prob have a scan then. had 3mcs and am prob worrying way too much.

i've only has one mc but i've still been really worried so i don't blame you at all. I hope things settle down soon.

Even though my spotting has stopped i'm still worried because i had a missed mc - just hoping to see a heartbeat next week.

its awful isnt it. im trying to stay pos, feel v sick sooo....

Remember that having m/s is meant to mean that there is less chance of having a m/c. Why not call your EPU this morning and see if they'll give you an early scan sooner than 1st? They can only say no... Fingers crossed - don't really want to see you back on the ttc after m/c thread...

When i went for my scan last wed i was fearing the worst - i even took a bag with me incase i stayed for a d&c which i required last time.

When the sonographer told me everything was fine for my dates i still thought this pregnancy wasn't going to last.

Now the bleeding has stopped i'm feeling much more positive but still dreading the scan next week as i'm terrified there won't be a heartbeat.

I am counting my symptoms as a way of reassuring myself!

I think i saw you on the due sept 07 thread? Do you have any dc?

I know exactly how you feel. I have been where you are last pregcy started spotting at 5 weeks continued through till 8 weeks. Scans were clear no problems seen at all.

That preg did end in MC but much later on and for different reasons. I have a friend who spotted all the way through her pregnancy and now has a beautiful girl. Who knows how and why these happen.

I am now also 5 weeks and I am also worried about the outcome of this prgncy as I have recurrent m/c as well.

The one thing I keep telling my self is there really is nothing!!!! I can do about it. It is in the hands of the gods and worrying about it just wears you down when your tired enough already and need all the energy you have got.

Phone your doctor - ask for a scan if you think it will reasure you. Stop looking at the toilet paper every time you go to the loo (I did this all the time - the worst thing I could have done) and only go when you need to not every 15 mins.

I wish you all the luck in the world, think positive - this is one thing you can't control so try to relax and just live for the moment.

lissielou - please try not to worry, although I know how hard it is. I am still spotting on and off (am now 16w). MS is a good sign. Some people do bleed all the way through and there are no problems for the baby

if you are worried see if you can have your scan bought forward. doesn't hurt to ask

I know exactly how you feel I had a missed MC in August and the baby died at 5 weeks. I am now 5 weeks and started spotting on Monday and slightly on Tuesday. I went to my GP yesterday but my EPC won't scan me until Friday when I will be 6 weeks and there should be a heartbeat. I am also terrified that on Friday there will be no heartbeat and almost expecting it as I have never been pregnant and had a heartbeat. I also don't seem to have many symptoms I am starting to feel sick in the mornings but I'm not sure if this is psychological!

I have heard that the more sick you feel the stronger your pregnancy so enjoy your symptoms!. Good luch and let us know whether you can get an earlier scan
