So I've been in my 2 current part time job (makes full time hours) for 5 and 6 years each.
For some time I've not been happy but needs must and bills Gotta be paid. Earlier this year I decided to start retraining and undertook a level 3 course to stand me in good stead for teaching, which I successfully completed.
It left me with 2 options - start a year long level 4 course in September, attending every week for 3 hours or complete my A1 assessor course so I can assess my chosen field (childcare which I'm already qualified in).
I didn't fancy a year long slog, so am wanting to do the A1, problem is, the college 5 mins away from me can't help me get candidates which I need, but a college some 30 mins away can, however it's peak time so it'll be 3 or so hours away every other Monday evening and again on a Friday morning when candidates are available.
Baby is due October 26th, I appreciate this is very close and will overlap as the course is on til April but I'm prepared to work my backside off so I can hopefully return to a new job on the other side of maternity.
Would you leave your new born so early?
