Dealing with worry and anxiety

Hi. I'm 18 weeks with my first and can't feel it move yet. Not too worried about that but I'm constantly anxious something bad might happen and want reassurance. How do you cope with that? Hoping I'll feel it move soon then I can feel a little more relaxed!

I felt very similar feelings with my first. I'm 32 weeks with my second and have suffered less with anxiety this time around (although still some!). I don't really have any advice other than to try your hardest to keep everything in perspective. I used to try and spend ten mins each evening putting anti-stretch mark oil on my bump while listening to calming music and that helped. Try to trust your body and your instincts and know that if you need to or want to you can always call your midwife about anything concerning and get it checked. The worry of being a mum never goes I don't think!

Thanks! And I'm glad it's not just me, every mum I've spoken to has dismissed it so I've felt a bit mad! X
