Is the baby trying to escape or should I be concerned

I am 37 weeks this friday with DC2 . My previously breech baby is now head down and very low. By the end of the day (or more like mid afternoon) I am getting cramping like pain accross my pelvic bone. Mostly when I am standing. It isn't a contraction or BH. It feels much like the baby is craning her neck into my pelvis. But I don't know if that os what it is or whether i should be a little more concerned? Instinct isn't telling me to panic, but I have made efforts to retrain my instinct to be a teeny bit less precious newborn and more informed.

Do you think this is "perfectly normal"? I can't remember this happening in my first pregnancy but that doesn't mean it didn't happen and circumstances were slightly different too.

It sounds like your baby is moving down and engaging ready for birth. I seem to remember something similar although it was 6 years ago so a bit hazy!

I remember my last pregnancy lots of strange movements and nothing like I rembered with my first 2 dc.

But it felt like dc3 was stretching and shifting and my belly would lurch from side to side. Very uncomfortable. Could it just be the position the baby is now in? and already stretched ligaments (from your 1st pregnancy) are causing these more uncomfortable sensations?

Thanks ladies. The baby is in a slightly different position than last time, the bump is tighter, and she is already lower at this stage than her brother was. I guess it might happen sooner than expected!
