Hi all. Sorry if this is in the wrong section
Im 39 weeks and am thankful to have had a pretty good pregnancy so far. Physically I am ok but have had a bit of a problem with neighbours which is making me stressed. She has been putting up facebook status's and speaking to neighbours complaining about my husband because he has been drilling and banging ( only a couple hours a day and in weekdays). Also we did check with her beforehand even though we didnt have to. Anyway now I am anxious about bringing a newborn home knowing it will cry often and her making even more accusations meaning people around us will hate us. I feel silly typing this as I know I'm extra hormonal with labour anxiety already but just wondering how people would deal with this. By the way we have already tried multiple times going round to apologise for noise but theyve refused to answer the door.Sad

Firstly, is this neighbour a friend? If not, fuck them...to be polite Grin. Do you really care what they think, if they don't speak to you will you really be that bothered?

You say you spoke to them beforehand, if they had any issues they should have stated then that they weren't okay with it. You've also said you've tried to go round several times to speak with them and they haven't answered the door, that's not your problem either. You're trying to resolve the situation but getting nowhere.

Secondly, what kind of adult posts about their neighbours on Facebook?! How immature of them, knowing fine well you can see the posts and comments and also, who does that...just, who?!

Sounds like they're just idiots by the sounds of things and I wouldn't let it get to me. If they moan about the newborn crying then hopefully someone will speak up and tell them to be quiet, all babies cry at some point eye roll. Don't you get yourself upset and stressed about it, just look forward to your new wee baba Smile.

People won't hate you because your neighbour complains about a crying baby. Would you hate a new parent with a tiny baby? No, so why should they?

As above, sod them! We don't get on with our neighbours due to noise (from their side) and her motor mouth, im secretly looking forward to my new born waking them up at all hours to see how they like it Grin

Somebody on my DHs facebook once complained about a crying baby, every comment was along the lines of "errrm that's what babies do!"
Don't worry about it; seriously if she puts it on her fb people will just think she's a total twat.
