BOY - so I'm going to have 3 DS's .

wasn't sure if I wanted to find out or not - but DH wanted to know, and given that we're trying to sort out relationship out I didn't want to 'rock the boat' by being awkward on that one so we said we'd like to know.

even before she said she thought it was a boy I thought it was too - the 'bits' I could see looked rather 'male' IYKWIM LOL.

Everything is fine with baby, very lazy - lying there with legs stretched out straight (hope he's not thinking of doing that for the entire pg especially if he's as long as the DS's were or I'll be in agony LOL).

Congratulations!

Budababe · 23/01/2007 11:07

Yay! Congratulations!

hunkermunker · 23/01/2007 11:11

Have you decided on a boy's name?

hunkermunker · 23/01/2007 11:11

Er, and obviously congratulations!

How's it going with DH?

fannyannie · 23/01/2007 11:12

Yes - we'd already picked names - so it's going to be Takunda Myles - so we'll have 3 T's

HM - not too badly - had our first relate session last week. We've agreed (as DH put it) to get back on the train and trying and see if we can get it running, and stay running again.

We've been sleeping in seperate beds since Boxing Day (well we shared the bed that night but haven't since) (not counting when I'm working as obviously he has it to himself then anyhow). But last night he 'moved' back into our bedroom. We're getting along ok too.

oh and I think he's finally coming to terms with this pg - I asked him how he felt about another DS and he pointed at DS2 and said "what do you think" with a huge smile on his face

oh....fanny, i've just realised who you are!!

congratultions on the 3rd boy....boys rock

Miaou · 23/01/2007 13:08

me too! Congratulations and I really hope everything works out for you - sounds like you both want it to

fannyannie · 23/01/2007 13:43

lol LTH - well you would say that wouldn't you .

It's funny I was still undecided as to whether I wanted to know or not - so wasn't sure how I'd feel once I knew. But I'm actually REALLY happy. Ok so I know it's almost certainly another DS - but I don't know whether he'll look like me or DH, whether he'll be dark or light (the joys of being in a mixed race marriage LOL), how much hair he'll have - and what sort etc etc - so there's still a big element of 'suprise' in there.

Plus I really hoped it would be another boy - I have a picture in my mind of 3 DS's all similar looking, equal age gaps (3yrs 5months and 3yrs 3 months) and I can't 'see' myself having a daughter too (not to mention I'm not into 'girly' things like pink, dresses and dolls LMAO).

I have just worked out who you are too FA. I was thinking about you the other day thinking I hadn't seen you on Mumsnet for ages. Now I realise I have! I also have 3 boys (with a girl in the middle for sanity!) and it is totally brilliant.

Congratulations on finding out what you are expecting and good luck with relate. Now that I know who you are I will look out for you more.

preggerspoppet · 23/01/2007 14:22

oh just imagine when they're all grown up how much they will spoil you! -take you for nice meals in their cars, bring you flowers and generally be their favorite lady ever!

you lucky thing.

(I have 2 ds's and am expecting my third baby (a surprise) but when I think of three boys I think of me being crown princess sparkle in our house! -and I quite like that thought...)

fannyannie · 23/01/2007 15:27

I know - and if this one is as tall as DS1+2 look like they're going to be (just like DH is) I'll have my own personal bodyguards too LOL.

ItsMeMellowma · 23/01/2007 15:37

Hello Lockets, nice to see you back

LadyOfTheFlowers · 23/01/2007 15:53

lovely, lovely boys.
i have two and want another!
actually i want 4 but i will be lucky to get 3. dh not keen.

fannyannie · 23/01/2007 16:16

I have to say the more I think about it the more I'm shocked by how incredibly happy I feel about having all boys! I'd sort of convinced myself it was another boy - and that a boy was what I 'wanted' (aside from the obvious of a healthy baby) but wasn't sure how much of it was to make myself feel better if it wasn't a girl IYKWIM. As it is I think I actually feel happy that is not a girl..........does that make any sense - or am I just waffling cr*p (again)

Congratulations

So you and DH are trying again ?

itsmeNDP · 23/01/2007 16:20

Sorry FA, just read your 11 o'clock post. I'm glad to hear that you and DH are making steps to change things for the better

fannyannie · 23/01/2007 16:20

yes NDP - we are (thought for a minute when I read your post that you meant trying for another baby LOL )

OP posts:
itsmeNDP · 23/01/2007 16:21

steady ! Get this one out first, eh ?!

fannyannie · 23/01/2007 19:15

LOL NDP - we've both agreed that this is the last one - and this time I mean it (I 'sort' of agreed that DS2 was the last one but never really 'felt' that he was IYKWIM but this time I know this is it - my family will be complete )
