Ultrsound direct notts?

Didn't know where to post this as I'm a bloke but got an ultrasound with ultrasound direct next week. It's not obviously for a pregnancy scan but man thing. Will it be a guy that does it as it's a man thing I'm having done

Also I've called the 0845 number twice last few days no answer

Finally it's at mother care which confuses me will.it be in the shop ? It's the one in Nottingham

is it a proper US machine like you get in hospital
Will they be qualified as much as ones who do it at hospital? I'm having something done which could find something serious

Not been to that one but have used the one in leeds which sounds the same.

Yes it's in the shop. In a little room to one side.
not sure if you would get a male sonographer? I have had bother male and female ones for standard pregnancy scans.
As far as I can tell equipment is the same as hospital.
One sonographer also worked at my local hospital so definitely qualified. Not sure about the other I had. I would like to think qualified as ultrasound direct is quite a big company.

I would also keep ringing the number. They have quite a detailed website so there might be a faq section.

You need to see your doctor and get referred to somebody who knows what they're doing and knows about your condition and what they're looking for. These scans ate commercial and used for pregnancy and even they would likely not I know up any problems with a pregnancy never mind anything else.

Yes it's in the back corner of mothercare. I had lots of scans there in pregnancy and it was always two female sonographers. They were all NHS trained and just did it for extra money. The us machines are better than most of the ones I've seen in NHS hospitals. If they find a problem they would send you back to your GP to get referred to the appropriate person.

There is a specific section on the website for mens problems only downside is woman doing it. Got told same people who work at the hospital di it so surely they'll know what is what otherwise wouldn't offer the service

It's no different to having an NHS scan. Other than being quicker and more expensive! Don't worry about the staff being qualified. They absolutely are.
