Does anyone else find most pregnancy clothes are really horrible??

Can anyone recommend a good-nice brand? I am 28 weeks and I want to start buying maternity PJ's and nighties for the hospital but everything I find its just horrible!

Thanks!

I had a fantastic dress from ASOS which I still long to wear again (time for another baby? ;) ) - slinky, three quarter sleeves, knee length, off the shoulder. I looked absolutely knockout in it, if I do say so myself. Hang on, will see if they still do it...

I have gone for H&M stuff in a size up for this pregnancy as I've really struggled to find any maternity clothes that are my style.

Seekingmiracles · 04/07/2016 21:08

ASOS stuff is pretty good. Good choice at least. I'm generally pretty appalled by what the high street has to offer! You'd think somewhere along the line a woman would have thought... Hang on, this stuff is shite! And I don't get why the 'decent' stuff has to be pricey! It's only going to be worn a few months, if that!
I've recently brought two pairs of maternity Jamie jeans from topshop, one in a 10 for now (25 weeks) one in a 12 for when I'm bigger. Same style yet the 12 is smaller than the 10! Ridiculous!

Does anyone have any good ideas on what I can wear to a summer wedding, indoor/outdoor style, at 14 weeks pregnant when I won't have told people (probably) and will also be toddler wrangling? Preferably for very cheap!

I am completely stuck.

Size 12, hourglass edging towards pear shape, long waisted, 5'6"

A nice maxi-dress, Carrot? Maybe jersey, so you won't have to worry anout being creasey :)

Gardencentregroupie · 05/07/2016 20:22

What about something like this carrot? Jersey, so it has a bit of stretch, and empire line so it will hide your belly if you have a bit of a bump.

I like that Joe Browns dress, garden

A maxi dress is so far from my usual style november that it would be instantly obvious I was pregnant!

I'd have thought that extra large size nighties for non pregnant women, from somewhere like Primark or Peacocks or one of the supermarkets would fit fine. Am 32 weeks myself but sleep in the buff so haven't had to buy one yet. For hospital NCT recommended a tight fitting strappy vest and disposable knickers (if any) as nighties get in the way apparently, then obviously you put your dressing gown on over the top for wandering down the corridor/ visitors.

JessieMcJessie · 07/07/2016 11:56

carrot why is it bad for it to be obvious you are pregnant?
