Anyone ever had polyhydramnios (too much amniotic fluid)?

I've just been for a check up with the consultant and I've got too much amniotic fluid. So when people say I'm huge, they're not lying

The consultant wants me to come back in a couple of weeks but said that I should go straight to hospital if my waters break in the meantime

Oh - and the baby's breech!

I'm 33 weeks today. Anyone got any encouraging tales?

hi,

I had this - I measured 43 weeks when I was actually 36 weeks but DS wasn't breech. My waters went at 36+5 (first day of mat leave ) - be warned... I flooded the flat, the Dr's reckon I lost 3 litres of fluid

I was under the consultant from 30 weeks onwards. he booked me for an induction at 38 weeks, not because there was any danger to ds but because I was so big, i couldn't cope anymore. Obviously I didn't make the induction date.

DS was fine, I was fine. I hope all goes well for you

Oh blimey - that's very interesting. Thanks

I'm measuring 38 weeks now but was only 34 last wednesday so we'll see what happens when I go back at 35 weeks. I'll see what they say at 35 weeks - I might leave work a bit earlier than planned at this rate!
