Positive stories after cervix too high for a S&S?

Hi all

Am hoping for some positive replies that make me feel better about my failed stretch & sweep today.
I'm just about 40 weeks and my cervix was too high for the midwife to reach.

Has anyone else experienced this and still gone in to labour soon afterwards?
I don't know how long it can take for my cervix to move low enough?!

My consultant with DD tried a stretch and sweep at 39+5 she said it was too high and efaced but I was having some tightenings. Had DD on due date with 5.5hr labour

Thank you both. It's reassuring to hear this doesn't necessarily mean I'll be ages yet!
