only 3mm sack seem at 6wks

Hi I went for a scan today as was having spotting . I sould be 6wks1day but scan showed only a sack they did take bloods they said it's the same as someone that's 4-5 wks pregnant I've got a scan next Tuesday. Any one had this good or bad thans

Hi, I went for a scan at 6 weeks 1 day and they told me baby was 3.1 mm and measuring as 5.3 . I was petrified as I had also been spotting and I knew my dates exactly as had ivf.
Went for my 8 week scan and all was fine. Baby was measuring 2 days ahead. The nurse said that the baby is so small at that stage it is easy to get wrong and also she wouldn't have measured me at 5.3 days at 3.1 mm as there was a heartbeat seen.

Are you sure of your dates?

Yeah unsure by few days but not a week sadly

Don't worry! Sounds very normal. I knew exactly when I conceived but at 7 weeks for our back to under 6. Then at 10 weeks as per the new dates the scan showed 11+6 which was in line with my own dates. I've been in pregnancy boards a lot over the last 2 months and its SO common and the vast VAST majority are just a bit further back OR catch up by a later scan. Even those who are 100% certain of their dates x

The measurements are so tiny at that stage that its difficult for them to be completely accurate. My dates have changed between my early scan and 12 week scan in both my pregnancies, it may well be nithing to worry about. The waiting is awful though!

Hi, I had this with my first pregnancy which sadly was eventually diagnosed as a MMC. I was also measuring small at 6+1 for this pregnancy (more like a 5+2 pregnancy) but they could see at least see an embryo at that stage.

If the sac was only 3mm and empty at 6+1 that doesn't sound like you're going to get good news next week, but I really hope I'm wrong

I had a scan at 6 weeks due to bleeding, that put me 5 days behind. I was 100% sure on my dates as I'd had IVF.

8 week scan baby was still measuring 5 days behind.

• 13+6 scan, baby measuring just 1 day behind - sonographer not concerned re the size at all.
