Hi, TMI but I'm heavily pregnant and I get bad wind everytime my partner stays on a Saturday night, I don't know if it's just me worrying about it and over thinking it all the time but I cannot sleep when he's here because I'm scared/embarrassed incase it comes out while I'm sleeping or whatever. For weeks and weeks now everytime he stays it's always the same. I'm just wondering if it's because I'm heavily pregnant that it's so bad. And if it will stop once baby's here! I'm going in to have baby this week so hopefully it does stop. Because I don't remember it being like this in early pregnancy!! It's just getting me down and then my partner down because he thinks I can't sleep because he's here! I feel so stupid asking!! Lol. Smile

Is he going to be your birth partner? If so, I wouldn't worry about wind! Grin

Wind is completely normal. Is he going to be at the birth? Because I think he'll be seeing and hearing a lot more than you possibly doing the odd fart. Think you need to find a way of being frank with him.

Yes he is lol, I'm having a c section so it's not too bad. But it's just getting me down because I feel embarrassed to tell him about it too! Maybe I should just tell him. But I'm hoping it's just being heavily pregnant that's causing it and it will go once I've had baby. Grin

You're scared of farting in front of the man who's baby you're having? Wow.

Lisad2408 · 26/06/2016 12:11

Haha yes I know it's just he's quite a bit younger than me and we havnt been together a year yet (fell pregnant 3 months after we got together) I suffer bad with anxiety too. So just scared he won't like me or something. I know I sound very pathetic but I just wanted to know if anyone else had experienced anything like this and if it goes away after baby's born. :/

I don't know if this helps but I remember seeing something on TV once about how wind kind of seeps out in your sleep, rather than being expelled all at once like a fart. It's do with all your muscles becoming more relaxed when you sleep.

So, I don't think you'll be making loud fart noises in your sleep, if that's what you are worried about.

Also, try and work on your anxiety around this. It wouldn't be the end of the world even if it did happen.

Just tell him, you are going to have to let it out or your tummy is going to hurt!
