Just been shifting some stuff round in our bedroom - deliberately been careful, not lifted anything too heavy, just unpacked a couple of boxes from when we moved house (er, ages ago

Just sat down now for a rest and all across my tummy (well, not that far down actually, just below my ribs) really hurts - as in it's taking my breath away!

I was being so careful ... I guess I have probably strained some ligaments though

What should I do? (apart from not do any more unpacking, obviously)

Think you have probably just stretched a bit too much yep.

Can you have a soak in the bath perhaps ?, that might help a bit.

I'd go and get yourself checked out, just in case. Do you have an NHS walk-in centre anywhere near you where a nurse could have a look at you? Or ring your out-of-hours GP and ask for advice. It's probably nothing to worry about, but should probably be looked at just in case.

warm bath and rest for the rest of the day

Miaou · 20/01/2007 16:28

No wwb, am over 40 miles and a ferry ride from the nearest hospital, which is where I would have to go if I wanted to be checked over. Plus I am the only driver in the house and I don't think driving all that way there and back would be a good idea. Bath sounds like a lovely idea - dh is out for the day though so I have to make tea in a mo! I will have one later on when ds has gone to bed/dh comes in (whichever is sooner!)

I promise I won't do it again! So bloody annoying though, I really was being careful

Can I take paracetamol? Can never remember ...

Seems to be settling down now - more of a dull ache. Gave myself a bit of a fright there.

Yes, you can take paracetamol. Take it easy - rest up for a bit if you can.
