Is it safe to be given oral sex when pregnant (31 weeks). There, I've said it.

Of course, why wouldn't it be?

lulumama · 20/01/2007 11:24

absolutely ! a lot of women find sex more intense and pleasurable when pregnant, due to the increased blood flow to your fanjo! enjoy !

TrinityRhino · 20/01/2007 11:25

totally, no problem at all

MamazonAKAfatty · 20/01/2007 11:26

its safe to have any type of sex so long as your comfortable.

in fact male seman can help to weaken the cervix and therefore bring on labour when your nearing your due date.

go for it and enjoy yourself.

lulumama · 20/01/2007 11:28

not weaken..ripen...sorry but weaken sounds bad ifyswim!!

Banoffee · 20/01/2007 11:31

Oh thank you, only I read somewhere (from a doctor as well) that if your partner blows in your fanjo (love the word) by mistake or otherwise, then it could be harmful to the baby or something.

OP posts:
Piffle · 20/01/2007 11:34

blowing in fanjos when not pregnant can also be fatal
not just when pregnant
it's no do...
as men say
suck don't blow

TrinityRhino · 20/01/2007 11:34

absolute load of twonk, nothing to worry about at all

TrinityRhino · 20/01/2007 11:35

ooops sorry piffle is right but when was the last time your dh blew into your fanny, it would hav to be very hard not just breathing out near your fanny

Banoffee · 20/01/2007 11:35

I mean, not that he was intending to do that or anything... at least I don't think so.

OP posts:
Piffle · 20/01/2007 12:49

LOL
Yes, he should be allowed to breathe whilst down there of course.

Piffle · 20/01/2007 12:50

Ps respect I'm 31 wks and the thought of doing the same makes me want to leave home

PurpleLostPrincess · 20/01/2007 22:14

The same works the other way around!! I was brave enough to ask my GP when pg with DD (nearly 9 years ago) if it was OK to swallow (I'm sure I don't need to explain!?) and he said yes, its fine. In fact, the protein in semen is good for you, pg or not!
Now thats an interesting fact that you might like to share at a party!!

IntergalacticWalrus · 20/01/2007 22:15

It's an interesting fact I'm not shring with DP

wotzsaname · 20/01/2007 22:20

My god i couldnt possibly ask my GP that. glad you are abble to be so frank with yours.
I find it award when he asks "how are you?" i always say "fine" out of habit, and then I think i should turn around and walk away.

theheadgirl · 20/01/2007 22:25

Purple princess - good on you for asking that. When I was a nurse on a night shift once, we had a breathless call from a the wife of a patient who'd been discharged that day after a hernia repair, asking if they could have oral sex! I PMSL as I could visualise them ready to go for it if I said yes - which I did!

PurpleLostPrincess · 20/01/2007 23:13

LOL, I've been registered with my GP all my life so it wasn't that big a deal for me - I like to be honest and I saw it as a medical question!
Glad you said yes headgirl!
I can imagine not many will want DH/DP's to know this fact!!

Furball · 21/01/2007 06:39

PurpleLostPrincess - surely all men say that doctor or not!

On a more technical side - why is blowing up your doodah dangerous and what is the difference between blowing up there and pumping air in during sex?

lillaura · 21/01/2007 11:37

if your lucky enough then make the most of it my huby is one of those who feels uncomfortable with having sex now im showing uguh!!! hurry up baby !!!!!

tidyjane · 21/01/2007 20:42

Exactly! I don't get it. Maybe the doctor who stated this meant that your partner shouldn't blow up "it" like blowing up a balloon or something. I don't know.
Although what he said was: "sex is fine during pregnancy, however when you are about 30 weeks you should avoid oral sex as air into your vagina can be harmful to the baby.".
Strange.

tidyjane · 21/01/2007 20:43

Sorry, I was Banoffee but had changed my nickname as embarassing question.
S..t I've blown it now.
