No baby, should be 8+2

Just went for an early scan, should be 8+2, all they could see was a 6 week blob, no baby and no heartbeat - they basically wouldn't tell me anything because they can't give any medical information but I could tell from her face it's not right. It's over isn't it? How long will it be until it goes? I can't stand living with all these symptoms that are just reminders of what's not there.

It's not necessarily over. It may well be, but not definitely. How sure are you of your dates?

FATEdestiny · 18/06/2016 15:49

I'm so sorry, that must be a massive shock.

Phone your midwife out of hours phone number and arrange a scan at your local hospital.

Bear in mind that 6 weeks is the cusp of there being a visible heartbeat, even in healthy babies. So it might just be your dates are wrong.

Do you have pregnancy symptoms? What prompted you going for an early scan?

Hope everything is ok hun. Happened to me a few yrs ago. Went back a week later for another scan which showed a heartbeat. Do you have another scan booked? Wishing you all the best. Flowers
