how did you feel when you saw the first scan?

Hi all I had my first scan today, wanted to see how everyone else felt after seeing the little one chilling inside you?

Terrified!!

It was an unexpected pregnancy and I figured I must be two or three weeks along. I went to the gynaecologist a couple of days after doing a pregnancy test and ended up getting a transvaginal scan (which was a lovely surprise ) and the next thing I knew I was hearing a heartbeat.

I was actually six weeks along and we left with a photo of a little white blob.

I'm still terrified now! (20 weeks)

Massively relieved and vaguely disbelieving. I was 9 weeks, was a private scan as my dad had just been diagnosed with terminal cancer and everyone was talking about him holding on for the baby - I felt like I needed to know there was really a baby there. I cried, my DH was vaguely baffled.
