Don't know why I'm here really, I just feel lost. Been with my partner for 5 years, bought a home together and agreed it was the right time to try for a baby. I got pregnant shortly after and he was more excited than anything, we were both overjoyed. About a month ago he started acting strange and working a lot of overtime. Despite numerous attempts to talk to him about it, I got shot down and told that this pregnancy must be affecting me strangely, that I was imagining it. Turns out this 'overtime' was in fact spent with a woman he'd met at work. Suspected nothing prior to last month. We had should a wonderful relationship prior to all this. Came home yesterday after a 3 day stay with family who live hours away to find his wardrobe empty and the majority of his possessions gone from our home. Was left with nothing but a long note explaining he'd met someone else, couldn't 'do this' anymore, he would be uncontactable and that he was so very sorry. I feel like someone has ripped my heart out. I'm totally numb. Just 2 weeks until it should have been the happiest day of my life and now this. What the hell do I do?

So sorry about the financial clear out - he really is the lowest of the very very low. I do hope you have MIL on side now - do tell her what he has stolen from you etc - when you get a chance (if you haven't already).

MadisonMontgomery · 21/06/2016 10:32

Ahhh congratulations!! I can't believe how utterly foul your ex is - but you know what, it's all going to bite him in the bum in the end. I'm not usually a fan of airing your dirty laundry on fb, but I would definitely make an exception in this case.

Lunar1 · 21/06/2016 10:33

Congratulations on your little girl.

Hopefully a good solicitor will be able to trace all the money he has stolen, and get some back.

prettywhiteguitar · 21/06/2016 10:38

Congratulations on your lovely baby girl !!! Star

Goingtobeawesome · 21/06/2016 10:39

Congratulations on becoming a mummy! I'm sure she's utterly scrumptious.

So pleased your mum has been such a star. Let her help you get practical. Go after the twat for maintenance and speak to the bank re him taking all the money and maybe a mortgage break.

What a pig.

prettywhiteguitar · 21/06/2016 10:39

I can't believe what a total arse your ex is ! Who clears out the joint accounts ?? Perhaps his parents can reimburse some of the money for the baby and get it back off him ?

londonrach · 21/06/2016 10:52

Congratulations on your little girl op. Cant believe the lowlife would sink that low to remove money to support his child. Get a solicitor to chase the lost money but meanwhile enjoy her Xxx

LynseyH5 · 21/06/2016 10:52

Incredibly angry in your behalf concerning the money. How dare he take it to set up a new life when he should have been spending on a new life that is his own flesh and blood.

BUT....

I'm going to take your lead OP and focus on the good....so a huge congratulations on your baby girl. I'm so pleased she is here safely for you. Enjoy every precious moment. I'm so pleased support is coming through for you too. You sound like a tough cookie and I have no doubt you'll see this through Smile Flowers

JessicaRabbit3 · 21/06/2016 11:52

Huge congratulations on your little girl 😀❤️ She is the most important thing now & will bring you so much happiness.
And your Mum sounds lovely 😀

Some men can be such unbelievable arseholes, I actually struggle to get my head around all these things, and I can't think of words bad enough to describe him - all I say is stay strong, you are worth a thousand of him & now have your little girl who will love you unconditionally. Worth so much more than any man! Stay strong & you will get through it Mum ❤️Xx
