So today I went for my 34 week check up and said I had slow growth so came out all emotional especially when they couldn't fit me in for scan so I decided to go private and he measured me as 36 weeks not 34, anybody else had this what happens is due date just bought forward or how does it work ? X

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

No, it's not accurate enough for that at this stage. It may just mean that you're having a large(ish) baby. Though, growth scans can be quite inaccurate, so it may not even mean that!

Did they plot growth against percentiles? I had growth scans at 28, 32 and 36 weeks and each time it was plotted against a graph (and was bang on 50th percentile). It maybe that your baby is big for 34 weeks - but is not outside normal range (eg is at the top of the centiles).

It was over the line for 28 weeks and under for 32 that's why she wanted a scan asap and possibly me going into be monitored x

I had growth scans for both of my pregnancies. They were both absolutely fine, I just don't have huge babies which is a good thing really given that I'm only 5'! Try not to stress, babies are different sizes & are very difficult to measure accurately. Smile
