I suffered with chronic heartburn from almost the day of conception right through to birth and would just like to tell anyone out there that there is a natural remedy for it. Fresh pineapple (unfortunately tinned or pineapple juice doesn't do it) . Expensive and sometimes hard to find in London, but worth it. I did resort to Gaviscon a lot of the time, but whenever I could find pineapples, I guzzled them down.
And you get people saying you'll have a hairy baby with heartburn. Mine is still bald.
