I have needed insulin with both pregnancies. I never thought I could inject myself, but really it is a piece of cake - inconvenient, but not painful. The worst thing is the smell of the insulin.

I hope the diabetes nurses are monitoring you carefully??

I needed insulin with my second pregnancy - don't worry as dueat44 said it is inconvenient more than anything else. The diabetes nurse I had was very helpful and did offer to come to my house to help me with the first injections - I didn't take up her offer though as that to me would have added extra inconvenience .
