Worried about bleeding

Hi guys ? am hoping for a bit of advice. I?m 8 weeks pg and last night I had a small bleed. Nothing very heavy ? just when I wiped. It was mostly browny, but with some dark red clots. It seems to have subsided, but there is definitely more browny mucousy stuff up there waiting to work its way down?it?s very similar to the spotting I have before AF starts.

I?m not really sure what to do. I probably wouldn?t worry so much if it wasn?t for the fact that my symptoms have really calmed down? I?m used to 24hour nausea, but the last two days have been really quite bearable. I almost thought that I was over the worst of it ? but now I think maybe the pg has ended?

What?s your advice? Go to the GP or go straight to A&E? Please help, this is my 1st pg and I?m really not sure what to do. Very worried

hi jenny,
I would give your GP a call and see if you can see someone today.
Hope things turn out ok.

Thanks Claire - think I might go to A&E, with any luck I'll get a scan this evening? More worrying than the bleeding is the nausea stopping...

hey jenny-
i had something similar (mine was fairly fresh spotting) and the antenatal folks at the hospital were able to squeeze me in for an emergency scan. was the biggest relief ever to get the all clear from it after hearing lots of scary statistics on bleeding during pregnancy. best of luck!
