I was 39+5. Drank RLT from 37 weeks.

abear · 24/05/2016 12:12

I think I drank it from about 36 weeks but it was some time ago so my memory is hazy but went in to my labour on my due date with DS1 and three weeks early with DS2.

scaredofthecity · 24/05/2016 12:17

I drank it from 36 weeks, at least 6 cups a day... vile stuff!

I was induced and DS was 16 days late but my labour was less than 4 hours with no other kind of help except the initial pessary.

From what I read it doesn't actually induce labour, just makes the contractions stronger so baby comes quicker when u you are actually in labour

SolomanDaisy · 24/05/2016 12:21

I was 39 weeks.

DramaAlpaca · 24/05/2016 12:23

I drank it, but can't remember from what stage of pregnancy (years ago). DS1 arrived at 39+2.

wonderpants · 24/05/2016 12:26

16 days late and 36 hours in labour.
Didn't bother 2nd time around!

mummytime · 24/05/2016 12:48

I was 10 days late, but had a 45 minute labour - just got into hospital by ambulance.

gillyweed · 24/05/2016 13:32

Drank it from about 36 weeks.

1st - 4.5 hrs - 4 days late
2nd - 2.5 hrs - 3 days late
3rd - 36 weeks and counting... started drinking last week!

PhilPhilConnors · 24/05/2016 13:33

Drank it religiously from 36 weeks.
Ds1(15) would still be in there if he hadn't been dragged out after a fail to progress labour and EMCS at 42 weeks.

Jenjen85 · 24/05/2016 14:20

Started takeng rlt capsules from 36weeks as meant to be more effective than the tea. Had DD on due date 5.5hr labour. Will start taking the tablets again when im 36wks ( currently 26wks) hoping for another quick delivery too

mumof2xox · 24/05/2016 14:22

I drank it from 30weeks

took me 30 minutes to push DS out when the midwives told me to expect to be pushing for 2-3 hours

32 hours in labour though but I really enjoyed it. I blame the tea SmileCake

Drank it once or twice a day from 32 weeks (I think). 3 days overdue but only 1hr 20min labour.

soundsystem · 24/05/2016 19:12

I can't remember when I started drinking it, but DD was born at 39+4. I quite liked the taste of it!

I had some drops of... Something, I can't remember what, that I out in the bath as well that was meant to help.

alltouchedout · 24/05/2016 19:17

Drank it from about 32 weeks with all three. They were 15, 10 and 4 days past the edd. I liked the tea though. Someone told me it's good for uterine toning, don't really understand how that could be so! But if it is then maybe that's why my labours are always sub 3 hours ;)

gamerchick · 24/05/2016 19:17

Raspberry leaf is not supposed to bring on labour, I'd love to meet the person who started that so I can shove some up their nose. It's meant to help give you a shorter pushing stage that's all.

m33r · 24/05/2016 20:31

I drank three cups a day from 36 ish weeks and was 1 week early with a 3 hour 55 min labour. Yay! X

LumpishAndIllogical · 24/05/2016 20:40

Drunk loads of loose leaf raspeberry tea, very strong brew 4 cups a day from 37 weeks. Had DS at 41+5 weeks but only 6 hrs and straight forward labour. I found the pushing stage the easiest!! Only half an hour! And least painful part for me.

Dixiechick17 · 24/05/2016 23:03

It's meant to help with labour rather than induce it. I drank it from 34 weeks, about four cups a day as I really liked it and labour was 5hrs 17 mins, pushing stage was just less than two hours I think, and DD was born at 40+5 :)

PeppaPigStinks · 25/05/2016 06:05

I took capsules and drank the tea.
I was induced both times but once had waters broken had very quick labours! I plan to take it this time too

THanks y'all
yes im quite sure it doesnt induce labour, but from what ive been reading i think that it strengthens the muscles and actually makes labour overdue even though it makes it perhaps shorter and more bearable....but i want this baby at 38 weeks same as my first lol!

I drank it all the time from about 37 weeks - I actually found a brand in my local health food shop that tasted really nice - but I went ten days over and was pushing for two and a half hours out of a total labour of 24 hours. Hmm

Dakin1 · 25/05/2016 08:33

I was booked to be induced at 40+2 and really wanted to go into labour naturally. At 39+6 there was no sign of labour so I went for a really long walk, ate an entire pineapple including the core, hand expressed some colostrum and had a big cup of raspberry leaf tea all on the same day... Went into labour that evening and DD born on due date. I think it was the walk that did it rather than the tea though.

TriJo · 25/05/2016 13:44

Drank it, son was born at 41+1 after a relatively quick labour.
